Strawberry & Burrata Toast 🍓
Sweet British strawberries meet creamy burrata on toasted sourdough with hot honey and cracked black pepper. A perfect quick lunch or impressive brunch plate.

Ingredients
- 2 large slices sourdough bread
- 1 ball burrata
- 150g British strawberries, sliced
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp hot honey (or regular honey with chilli flakes)
- Fresh basil leaves
- Sea salt
- Freshly cracked black pepper
Optional:
- Balsamic glaze
- Toasted pistachios
Method
- Toast the sourdough until golden and crisp.
- Tear the burrata and spread generously over the warm toast.
- Top with sliced strawberries.
- Drizzle with olive oil and hot honey.
- Finish with basil leaves, sea salt and plenty of cracked black pepper.
- Add balsamic glaze or toasted pistachios if using.
Serve immediately while the toast is still warm and crisp.
Tips
- Try grilled peaches or cherries later in the season.
- Use whipped ricotta if burrata isn’t available.
- Excellent paired with a peppery rocket salad.
