We make our penne ‰Û÷rigate, meaning ridged, which helps this little guy hold its shape and soak up sauce. ‰Û÷Penne comes from the Italian word for quill and the angled end encourages even more sauce to be scooped up. Safe to say this is one saucy fella. These characteristics mean that this pasta is destined for a baked masterpiece.
The Yorkshire Pasta Company started making pasta in 2019. They wanted to put Yorkshire on the map for fine pasta. The use locally milled wheat flour in the process supporting local businesses and reducing their food miles & carbon footprint. They use solar panels from green energy to power the business and all the pasta is made from wheat flour and water meaning it is 100% natural & no stabilisers or preseratives are used. The pasta is not bagged in plastic and the packaging is 100% recyclable!
